This 4 bedroom, 4 bath contemporary lakefront home located on the center of Lake Toxaway, the largest private lake in North Carolina offers unbelievable beauty. The temperature at the lake house seldom exceeds 82 F in the summer because it is situated 3,050 high in the mountains. Lake Toxaway is located between Highlands and Brevard (near Cashiers, NC), approximately 45 minutes from Asheville. The home is situated near Whitewater Falls, the tallest waterfall in the eastern United States. Lake Toxaway ‘s elevation provides mild year round weather, making it ideal for swimming, fishing, boating, canoeing, sailing and water-skiing.
This is 2,950 square foot contemporary vacation home has all the amenities you’d expect. With four private bedroom suites sitting on the center of the largest private lake in North Carolina, you look directly at Mount Toxaway (elevation 4,100 feet). The master suite has a king size canopy bed and a sitting room with amazing views of the lake and a second sitting room with hide a bed couch for a child. The second and third suites have queen size beds and sitting areas with lake views. The fourth suite has a queen size bed, a reclining chair and television with a view of a rustic mountain stream. There are four baths (one with Jacuzzi tub), a two-level great room, dining room and kitchen. You will have use of a washer and dryer, a microwave, dishwasher and ice maker. The 60 inch LCD High Definition TVs are located in the great room and upper bedroom.
At Lake Toxaway, you can enjoy swimming, sun bathing, kayaking, fishing (with proper license). The lake is all fresh water, fed by numerous mountain streams, and is always refreshing! We have a spacious, gently rolling lot going right to our private dock with a 20-foot deck boat you can rent on a daily or weekly basis depending on the season.
Hiking
A short hike can lead to a wonderful surprise! There are many hiking trails, from easy to very difficult. And you never know when you’ll find another waterfall!
Horseback Riding
Sapphire Valley Riding Stables are 15 miles from Lake House. Also, Pisgah Riding Stables are 3½ miles from the intersection of Hwy 64 and Hwy 276 in Brevard.
